Know your face shape

Have you ever become confused while looking at your face and getting to know the shape?
Here we came up with a 5 step reach to know your face shape.

1. Grab The Tools

You will not measure your face very often.
So why hurry, get a notebook, pen, and a measuring tape.
Not the scale or the civil engineer’s tape. Get the one which is used by the tailor.
Open the notebook, now measure the following in front of the mirror.

2. Forehead Measurement

In order to find out which face you have, you need to find out which parts are short, which ones are long or whether they’re actually all the same.
The forehead is a great place to start. Measure the widest part of the forehead. This place is usually the place that is around halfway between your eyebrows and your hairline.

3. Cheekbones Measurement

Done with your forehead?
Now your cheekbones.
The width of your cheekbones is especially important when it comes to picking a hairstyle. Getting it wrong can throw features like your ears way off proportion.
Size yours up by placing the tape across the pointiest part, just below the outer corner of each eye.

4. Jawline Measurement

Don’t bother about not having a jawline, just measure.
Measure from the tip of your chin to below your ear at the point at which your jaw angles upwards. Since you have jaws on both the sides of your face, multiply that number by two. This will fetch you your jawlines length.

5. Face Length Measurement

To find out the length of your face, run the tape measure from the center of your hairline to the tip of your chin.
What if you are a man with either shaved or bald head?
Imagine a point where your hairline would be.
Now we are done with our measuring part.

Determine Your Face Shape

Once you’ve got these measurements, note which is the largest of the four as this will be the giveaway. Compare the statistics to the below-mentioned profiles. This will best describe your face shape.

1. Oval Face

Face length is greater than the width of the cheekbones, and forehead is greater than the jawline. The angle of the jaw is rounded rather than sharp.

2. Square Face

All measurements are fairly similar. Rather than round in nature, the angle of the jaw is sharp.

3. Rectangle/Oblong Face

Face length is the greatest measurement. Forehead, cheekbones, and jawline are similar in size.

4. Round Face

Cheekbones and face length have a similar measurement. They are larger than forehead and jawline, which also have a similar measurement. The angle of the jaw is soft and much less defined.

5. Diamond Face

Face length measures largest. In descending order: cheekbones, forehead, and smallest is jawline. The chin is always pointed.

6. Heart-shaped Face

Forehead measures greater than the cheekbones and jawline. The chin is pointed for heart-shaped faces.

7. Triangular Face

Jawline measures greater than cheekbones, which measure larger than the forehead.
Figured out the shape of your face. And then you can begin to make more informed choices on selecting your hairstyle, beard, and even to your sunglasses.
