The Indian Atkins Diet!

Use this method when you have to lose 40 pounds.This is a very flexible diet straight from the beginning.This method of the Indian version of the Atkins diet requires a consumption of 40 grams net carbohydrate throughout the day.You can distribute your food intake over 3 meals and 2 snacks in all.
For the carbohydrates you can choose from ½ cup raw spinach(0.2G carb), ½ cup raw cucumber(1.6G carbs),½ cup cooked broccoli (1.8G carbs), a small tomato(2.5g carbs), ½ cup cooked cabbage(2.7G carbs),2 TBSP raw garlic (5.3G carbs).Other carbohydrates include dry fruits, milk, oatmeal, legumes.
Along with these, you can have 140 grams of protein and three tablespoons of fat each day.
Widely available protein in India is fish, eggs and chicken meat.For the fats go with Butter, olive oil, mayonnaise or coconut oil.
However, if you wish to reduce over 40 grams of weight, then go for the Diet Method – Over 40.

Diet Method – Over 40

This method comprises of four phases.The first phase helps to switch the body from burning carbs to fat.Only 20 grams of carbs should be taken in this phase.In phase 2, increase the carb intake to 50 grams.Later on, in the third phase add 80 grams to 100 grams in the fourth phase.The carbohydrates, protein, and fats would remain the same as in Under 40 diet method.
