An easy DIY Salad Bar!

Want to treat your family or wish to add a new dish to your restaurant? A salad bar is a wonderful choice to go with! Loaded with all possible nutrients, salads are a great way to start the day with.Have it at night and you provide your body less work during sleep.Loaded with roughage they help to ease bowel movements for the morning. Salads come in a huge variety, big enough to make you create a different one every next time. Create a salad and make it your own.
What you will need are food items from different categories.Let’s see what these are.

  1. Greens as a base

These fill a lot of space in the salad and pave a way for other ingredients to be poured over.
You can choose from Kale, Spinach, cabbage, lettuce.
4-6 of these greens should be enough.

2. Choose from fruits

Fruits contain abundant vitamins and minerals. These are very essential for a healthy body.
Have chopped apples, pears, grapes, olives, blueberries, cherries, cranberries, kiwi, pomegranate, and strawberries.

3. Fill it with protein

High quantity of protein is derived from animals, however, those of you who don’t have a thing for it can go for the plant sources.
Tuna, chicken, beef, tofu, pork, ham, lamb and boiled eggs are a few of the widely used animal proteins.On the plant side, almonds, lentils, chia seeds, flax seeds, walnuts are there to name a few.

4. Other food items to add

Your food salad is not yet finished.There is a host of other items you can add.
Add some onions, cheese, pickled veggies and dry fruits to broaden the flavor and the value.

5. Dress it up

Dressing a salad is the last, but still a very crucial step. Dresses largely make up the taste for the whole salad.They get absorbed in the added food items giving them a flavor.Some of the healthiest dressings are honey mustard, greek yogurt blue cheese, lemon Vinaigrette, sesame-ginger, coconut milk ranch dressing.
