Your face is your identity- and that goes without saying. Not just your features but the way your face looks tells a lot about your habits, mental well being and physical well being. Your face reflects everything; Stress, ill-health, worry, and confidence. Being your identity, it is inevitable to have a proper face care regime.

The most basic step for having a great facial skin is to practice daily face care regime. Cleansing, toning, and moisturizing are the three fundamental steps for keeping your skin clear. Especially cleaning your skin before going to bed is very important. The skin breathes while we are asleep at night. To let it breathe it’s important to clear skin from any dust or makeup. Here are few natural cleansers, toners, and moisturizers for any skin type.

Cleansing

Cleansing is the process of removing dirt, oil or makeup that clogs the pores. Accumulation of these foreign materials is what leads to a dull complexion, acne and a multitude of other skin problems.

Cleanser for oily skin

Mix two spoons of Multani Matti (Fuller’s earth) to 2-3 crushed aspirin powder to make a deep cleansing face mask. Apply an even layer on face, keep on till its dry and washes off.

Cleanser for dry skin

Best method for deep cleansing your dry skin is to massage Olive or Castor oil onto face and wash it off with warm water to get rid of excess oil. It will also moisturize your skin naturally.

Cleanser for a combination skin

Mix besan (gram flour) with curd or raw milk and apply on your face. Wash off when it dries slightly. It will leave your skin smooth and supple.

Natural makeup remover

Massage your face slightly with olive oil and wipe off with cotton. It will wipe off all the dust and makeup which have been clogging your pores.

Toning

Toning is one of those essential steps that we ignore and regret later. Toning is extremely essential to close the pores of face that get opened because of cleansing. Not toning your face leads to opening of large facial pores on your face in the long run.

Toner for Oily skin

Boil water with mint leaves in it for few minutes. Let this water cool and apply on the face using cotton for toning.

Toner for Dry skin

Mix coconut water to cucumber juice and raw milk in equal amounts. You can as well store this homemade toner for up to three days and dab it with cotton onto face for a clear skin.

Toner for combination skin

Cucumber juice is an excellent toner for combination skin. Rose water is yet another nature’s alternative for toning a combination skin.

Moisturizing

Dry skin can make you look dull and old and therefore it is necessary to moisturize your skin so that it will look healthy. And people with all types of skin, be it natural, oily or dry, must also moisturize their skin. No matter what the season is, a moisturizer is essential for glowing and healthy skin. Using a moisturizer daily can make your skin glow and aids hydration. So, here we will discuss some natural ways to keep your skin moisturized: 

Moisturizer for oily skin

Take a quarter cup of milk and add about two tablespoons of olive oil in it and mix well. And then pour about two tablespoons of lime and stir it well and apply it on your face. This is the best natural moisturizer for oily skin. 

Moisturizer for dry skin

Take an aloe vera leaf and peel off the outer part of it and remove the inside stem that secretes the gel. Extract the gel and mash it nicely and apply it on your face. Allow it to dry for 8-10 minutes and then wash it off with warm water. 

Moisturizer for combination skin

Apply cold milk or buttermilk on your skin and keep it on for 10-15 minutes and then rinse it with lukewarm water. Both milk and buttermilk are effective ways to hydrate all skin types.

  7. Drinking pomegranate juice daily will help in purifying the blood and is a great cardio-protective fruit.
